Liverpool could be without the injured trio for a second Premier League game in a row as they travel to Brentford on Saturday
Andoni Iraola said Liverpool still have to “wait and see” if Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo will be available for Saturday’s trip to Brentford in the Premier League.
The trio all missed Liverpool’s defeat to Manchester City on Sunday and were absent again for the 6-3 win over LASK in the Champions League in midweek.
Iraola said on Thursday that it was too early to rule any of Szoboszlai, Isak or Gakpo out of contention and wanted to keep the “chance open” of a return to action.

“It is early for us to say,” Iraola said when asked about his injured trio. “We have tomorrow's training. Obviously they were not ready for yesterday. We have to wait and see, I think it is still really early but I will leave the chance open."
Liverpool will also be without the suspended Ryan Gravenberch after his sending off in the 3-0 defeat to City but Iraola’s stretched squad were boosted by the performances of Trey Nyonyi and Lewis Koumas in the win at LASK.
“We'll need to change again at the weekend, we will need to change again when we face Villarreal in another three days,” Iraola said. "We need everyone. We need everyone in one moment or the other. Everyone has to be ready because we will need him probably.”
