A White House Correspondent has revealed exactly what food and drink is served on board Air Force One, including one item you "have to get" when traveling with the president.
Donald Trump has a well-known penchant for fast food, with White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles even revealing on Thursday that the president eats McDonald's food "every single day." The 79-year-old's favorite is the Filet-O-Fish.
However, it appears that while the president regularly tucks into fast food, those traveling aboard the presidential jet are offered a much more refined menu. The presidential air transport fleet consists of two specially configured Boeing 747-200B's which carry the president alongside guests, senior staff, Secret Service and security personnel, and the members of the White House press pool.

Two galleys in the aircraft provide up to 100 meals at one sitting. Daily Caller White House correspondent Reagan Reese took to X on Friday to reveal the types of meals she has been served on board.
"Every meal on AF1 deserves a perfect score. The food is exceptional, full stop. But a review where everything gets a 10/10 isn’t a review. That’s called a press release. So in the interest of doing actual journalism, I will be holding these dishes to a high standard," Reese wrote as she gave a detailed review of the food served during a trip with the president to Las Vegas and Phoenix.
Reese's first meal was a beef ragu with a fresh bread roll, spring salad, and key lime pie - each served on gold-rimmed crockery. She noted that the ragu was "hearty and generous. Almost too generous," while the salad included "crisp greens, fresh fruit and a light, tangy dressing that cut through the heaviness of the pasta."
However, Reese was left down by dessert. "The lime flavor was too subtle. I longed for more tartness and more of a punch," she noted as she revealed that it failed to live up to "the single best fruit tart" of her life, which she was served on board Air Force One back in July.
When it comes to drinks aboard the presidential aircraft, Reese revealed passengers can order just about anything they like. "You can order just about anything on AF1. I’ve watched reporters crack open a beer after a long haul with the president."

However, she noted that when traveling with Trump, there's one thing you "have to get," a Diet Coke. "My colleague and I had made a pact before the weekend even started: if you’re flying on AF1 with President Trump, you have to get a Diet Coke," she wrote.

Reese revealed that every drink is served in a glass etched with the presidential seal, alongside a napkin that reads “Aboard the Presidential Aircraft.”
Diet Coke is a well-known favored beverage of Trump's. "He drinks Diet Coke at all times,” Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said of Trump last year.
“He has the constitution of a deity. I don’t know how he’s alive, but he is," he added. Dr Mehmet Oz, the head of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, revealed last month that the president believes Diet Coke can prevent cancer.
"Your dad argues that diet soda is good for him because it kills grass [if] it’s poured on grass, so therefore, it must kill cancer cells inside the body," Oz told Donald Trump Jr. during an appearance on his Triggered podcast.
Moving onto her second meal, Reese revealed that she was served an Italian sub, kettle chips, a chocolate chip cookie, and another Diet Coke. She noted that his meal was served during a short flight from Las Vegas to Phoenix in which there was not time for a full-plated service.
As press boarded the aircraft, they were greeted with a small bag, embossed with the presidential seal on each of their seats containing the food.
"The sandwich was very large. The asiago bagel was an interesting choice, but untoasted, it was dense and a little tough to work through," Reese noted. "My only complaint with the kettle chips is that they weren’t Cape Cod chips. Those are my favorite and I would’ve loved a bag with my sandwich," she said.
She described the cookie as "delicious and the perfect dessert on the go." The third and final meal Reese was served consisted of a decadent lobster salad, croissant, chocolate cake, and, you guessed it, another Diet Coke.
Delivering her assessment of the salad, Reese wrote: "Could the lobster have used a touch more seasoning, a little more depth of flavor? Maybe. But tender pieces of lobster scattered across a bed of crisp, fresh greens made for an elegant plate."
She said the croissant was "warm" while the chocolate cake was "delicate and easy." She concluded: "It was the perfect final note on a trip I didn’t want to end."
