A former Playboy Bunny is urging filmmakers to "highlight the darkness that took place" inside Hugh Hefner's mansion.
Jessica Biel is among those who have joined the cast of the upcoming coming-of-age film, Playmates, which tells the story of a 13-year-old girl who views Hugh Hefner's Playboy mansion as her second home. The movie will also star Lily-Rose Depp, Bill Pullman and Indiana Elle.
The film has sparked controversy, with Hefner's widow, Crystal Hefner, sharing her fears the film could "romanticize him or the Playboy world." Former Playboy Bunny Precious Muir also has concerns about the film and told The Mirror US she hopes filmmakers show the "real truth" about the "exploitation" she witnessed inside the mansion.

Precious worked as a Playboy Bunny during her time living in New York in the early 2000s. She worked as a Golf Bunny for Playboy and would attend various high-profile events as part of the role.
Precious told us, "I would agree with Crystal Hefner and many other women who have been a part of that Playboy era. They need to make sure, in this film, they fully represent and highlight the darkness that took place in that Playboy Mansion as well as the 'fun times'."

She claimed group sex and sexual activity was "an obligation" for the girlfriends and wives of Hugh Hefner, but said there was another side that "is rarely highlighted or discussed."
Precious claimed Playboy Bunnies were also "coerced by the phrases like 'let's make sure the high rollers have a good time' and 'let's make sure this is a fun night girls'." She recalled, "We were always encouraged throughout events to spend quality time with the high rollers. Even some outside event hours."
"So the obligation which I don't think has been made very clear, that it was not just on the girlfriends and wives," Precious continued. "It was all the girls at that time who worked with Playboy.

"You felt obligated to be involved as much as possible, because you wanted to be apart of this massive cooperation that felt like a family." She admitted it "felt like being brainwashed."

Precious no longer works as a Playboy Bunny and admitted she doesn't know "how the cooperation is currently," but shared, "Back then things would happen and you just have to get on with it.
"The amount of drugs that was happening around me and the alcohol available to us was insane. And we were young, some girls were just barely 18 years old, which in the U.S is illegal to drink at that age."
She also suggested models would "walk into rooms with sexual activity happening and be encouraged to watch and even participate."
Speaking about the upcoming Playmates movie, Precious urged, "I think this film really needs to show the real truth about the exploitation and coercive behavior that took place in the Playboy Mansion, how Hugh Hefner really treated the girls around him like toys and things. His charming personality is why 'til this very day, so many didn't really know who he really was."
She continued, "Playboy was a well run program of exploitation for men's needs and desires," before sharing her fears that "the abuse won't be shown in the film."
Precious' comments come as Hugh Hefner's ex-wife, Crystal Hefner, has urged Jessica Biel to drop out of Playmates. "Please reconsider playing Hugh Hefner’s ‘wife’ if this film is to romanticize him or the Playboy world," she wrote in an Instagram message, sharing a screenshot of it on social media.

Crystal alleged, "I was actually his wife, and I experienced sexual, emotional, financial and physical abuse in that relationship." She continued, "I hope everyone involved in this film takes the time to listen to the women who lived it before helping Hollywood turn it back into nostalgia."
Crystal was married to Hefner from 2012 until his death in 2017. She previously opened up about life inside the Playboy Mansion in her 2024 memoir, Only Say Good Things: Surviving Playboy and Finding Myself.
In the book, Crystal alleged Hugh tried to control her appearance, including what she wore and her weight. She also alleged she was under the supervision of mansion staff.
