Naomi Watts’s 2026 Met Gala look came together over a text string just days before she hit the red carpet. All the back-and-forth and idea-sharing paid off: her floral look was one of the most-loved looks of the night. “It’s the Met Gala, so you want to do something a little special. The stakes are higher,” she tells Bazaar.
Something a little special included a floral Dior gown by Jonathan Anderson, hand-painted silk flowers in her hair, matchy-matchy floral nails, and an ombré red lip. “It’s all about the florals, and the spring, and colors, and vibrancy,” she says. “I’ve never worn Dior to the Met ball before. Many awards shows, many couture and fashion shows, but this is my first time working with Jonathan Anderson, and I am really, really thrilled to be doing this collaboration.”
