From Hailey Bieber to Hudson Williams to Margot Robbie to Kendall and Kylie Jenner, stylish celebrities are here to prove that a lack of bright color doesn’t mean a lack of fun. And now, Katie Holmes has entered the chat.

Yesterday evening, the actor got all dressed up for Carnegie Hall’s 50th anniversary of the Concert of The Century. The gala included music performances and a lavish dinner, and for the grand occasion, Holmes and her stylish, Brie Welch, chose the most exciting black midi dress from Lanvin.

The design included an asymmetric velvet bodice with a high neck and a single bow on one shoulder, plus a shaggy skirt made up of skinny strips of material dotted with tiny jewels. The asymmetric skirt looked like high-fashion tassels swaying and shimmering as Holmes walked.

The funky, super-chic dress was paired with funky,super-chic shoes, also from the Parisian fashion house. These were silky black crystal-studded mules, each with a pointed peep toe and a curves heel (a similar style, sans jewels, is available here). Holmes’s glossy red pedicure, which peeked out from the shoes, only upped the glamour.

Diamond earrings, a dainty diamond bracelet, and a ring from Sauer jewels accessorized the perfect fit, while a wispy, wavy hairdo (by DJ Quintero) and a glossy berry lip (by Victor Henao) tied it all together. Round of applause, please.
