Class is back in session at Hollywood Arts High School!

Hollywood Arts, a spinoff of the Nickelodeon sitcom Victorious, follows Trina Vega — an alum of the fictional performing arts high school in Los Angeles — who returns to her alma mater after years as a struggling actress. Taking on the role of a substitute acting teacher, she tries to guide students, but not without clashing with the teens, first, and wreaking a little havoc along the way.

The Netflix show, which premiered Oct. 15, sees the return of several Victorious characters, including Trina (Daniella Monet), Principal Helen Dubois (Yvette Nicole Brown), Mr. Sikowitz (Eric Lange) and Robbie Shapiro (Matt Bennett).

In addition to the familiar faces, a cast of newcomers will be joining as students at the performing arts school, including Alyssa Miles, Peyton Jackson, Martin Kamm, Emmy Liu-Wang and Erika Swayze.

Here’s everything to know about the new characters in Hollywood Arts.

Martin Kamm as Oscar Ward

Kamm joins Hollywood Arts as Oscar Ward, a talented actor and performer who has his classmates falling at his feet and ruthlessly competing to perform with him.

As a character, Oscar is used to the spotlight being on him, including the attention of two of his classmates, frenemies Jen Z and Pepper, who both have a crush on the young actor. However, when his sister’s star starts to eclipse his own in a surprising turn of events, his insecurities begin to seep through.

Kamm has appeared in shorts, as well as episodes of the series Kill Devil Hills and Web of Spider-Man, per his IMDb page. He’s also starred in music videos, including for Darci Lynne’s song “Push Our Luck” and creates his own music, sharing clips of songs he’s written on his Instagram.

Jackson portrays Qwest, a talented musician whose spot at the school is based on a ruse to keep his parents happy.

Qwest lies to his family that he’s attending Hollywood Arts on a sports scholarship — despite the school not having any sports teams — because his parents wouldn’t approve of him going to a performing arts school to pursue music.

Before Hollywood Arts, the actor had appeared in several projects, including episodes of The Resident, Raising Dion and The First Lady, according to IMDb. He also starred in the series Best Foot Forward, the movie The Woman in the Yard and several episodes of Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan on Nickelodeon.

Miles stars as Emmy Ward in the series, the younger sister of the school’s star, Oscar.

Emmy’s nickname in school is “Techie,” given her natural talents for creating apps and running the tech for all of the school’s production. The only reason she’s enrolled at Hollywood Arts is because her parents wanted her to go to the same school as her brother.

However, Emmy’s time in her brother’s shadow ends when Trina — who knows a thing or two about being overshadowed by a younger sibling — discovers Emmy’s talent and coaxes her out of the shadows and into the spotlight.

Prior to Hollywood Arts, Miles attended Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania, where she graduated in 2025 with a double major in dance and theater, according to the school. She’s since starred in a few shorts and appeared in several episodes of the miniseries The Queen Bee Strikes Back, per her IMDb.

Liu-Wang plays Pepper, the free-spirited best friend of Oscar’s little sister, Emmy, and a frenemy to her classmate Jen Z.

A talented singer and actress, Pepper often competes with her on-and-off-again friend Jen Z for parts, and for the attention of one (or both) of the Wards, but knows when to show up as a loyal friend.

Before the series, she appeared in the television movie The Slumber Party in 2023, and starred in seasons 5 and 6 of Raven’s Home as the character Ivy Chen, according to IMDb.

Swayze portrays the character Jen Z in the series, a classmate with a competitive side that sometimes brings out the worst in her.

While her occasional coldness and ambition can drive a wedge between her and her classmates, she still shows up to support her friends, especially for her “frenemy” Pepper.

Swayze has appeared in several shorts and TV shows over the years, including Davey & Jonesie’s Locker and School Spirits, per her IMDb page.
