The NASCAR Cup Series went racing on a Saturday for the first time this season on Aug. 15. Drivers competed in the Cook Out 400 at Richmond Raceway, and in the end, Joey Logano steered into Victory Lane.
He took the lead for the final time with 25 laps left, passing Christopher Bell on the outside. Then, Logano hung on, crossing the line in front of runner-up Chase Briscoe and third-place finisher Austin Cindric.

The race provided a clearer picture of the potential Chase field. Only two weeks remain the regular season.
