Nightclub announces closure after downtown Nashville shooting
A nightclub facing scrutiny after a downtown shooting injured three people is closing.
La Danse Nightclub on Rosa L. Parks Boulevard posted on Instagram a simple message: "We are sorry for the inconvenience but effective immediately La Danse in closing."
The weekend shooting outside the club was the second in about a year.

Metro Nashville Police are still searching for the people involved in a barrage of gunfire May 3 outside the club. Two men, ages 27 and 28, and a 24-year-old woman were injured.

Police said a fight started between two women inside the club before 2:30 a.m. Security broke up that fight and kicked them out, the department said in a statement.
Shortly after, a second fight between another group of men broke out inside. They were also kicked out, police said, but the fight didn't end there. At least one man pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots, police said. Councilman Jacob Kupin, whose district covers the club, said at least 60 shots were fired.
The 28-year-old victim was found in critical condition on the sidewalk. The 27-year-old man was wounded in the elbow and the 24-year-old woman was shot in the back.
A year earlier in April 2025, a woman was caught in the crossfire of more than 50 gunshots after an argument inside the club spilled out on the street. Police said at least one person and a security guard exchanged fire.
