Tyler Cameron is engaged to Tate Madden

Tyler Cameron is engaged.

The Bachelorette alum, 33, popped the question to girlfriend Tate Madden — and she said “yes.” The couple shared the happy news in a joint Instagram post on Saturday, Aug. 15.

“Better late than never they say,” Cameron wrote alongside two photos of his beach proposal, which took place on Florida’s Little Palm Island.

One photo shows the groom-to-be on bended knee, holding out a ring box to Madden. Another captures the newly engaged pair smiling and embracing.

Several Bachelor Nation stars shared their love in the comments of the post, including JoJo Fletcher, who wrote, “Ahh congrats!! ❤️❤️❤️ love u guys.” Dale Moss said, “Congrats! Blessings on blessings.”

Other famous friends who offered their congratulations include Andy Cohen, Remi Bader and Taylor Lautner.

Cameron met Madden in 2022 while filming his home renovation show, Going Home with Tyler Cameron (she shot photography for various aspects of the show). He later revealed that he was dating “a great girl,” before hard-launching his relationship with Madden in September 2024 by posting an Instagram video of the pair dancing together.

“Found a cute girl to dance with.... and then she tried to knock me out....,” he wrote in the caption.

Last year, Cameron teased that an engagement might be in his future. During a joint appearance with Madden on Jason Tartick’s Trading Secrets podcast on Sept. 29, he hinted that he needed to find a ring designer soon as he shared that things were “going in a great direction” in the couple’s relationship.

“We’re definitely making all those strides, and I definitely see us there,” he said of an engagement.

Madden chimed in to say that she was ready to be a fiancée, but was just waiting on Cameron.

“I would marry him in a second, but I want it to be when he wants to marry me,” she said.

Cameron — who appeared on Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette in 2019 — replied, “I do want to marry you.”

Six months later, while answering fan questions with Madden in a video posted on YouTube on March 12, Cameron addressed why he had not proposed yet.

He explained that he had recently asked Madden to go engagement ring shopping with him — but she told him she always envisioned going with her mother and sisters, and this difference in perspective delayed Cameron from buying the ring.

“Here’s what happened,” he said in the video. “So I always thought you were supposed to kind of snoop around, like look at the Pinterest, look at the computer and see what she’s been searching to find out what she wants. And then we got into an argument one time and then she’s like, ‘You never ask me to go ring shopping,’ so then I was like, ‘Well, let’s go ring shopping.’ Then after I said that, immediately she goes, ‘Okay, I’m going to call my sister and ask her.’ ”

After Madden said Cameron had “never even asked me what ring I would like,” he confirmed that he had snooped on her Pinterest page and was able to describe her dream ring.

Then, when Cameron asked Madden if she preferred a lab-grown or natural diamond, she replied, “I will love anything. You could get me a ring pop at this point, and I’d be fired up.”
